Our Vision
Our Vision is to cultivate and teach young leaders in our community. We strive to create a safe, drug and alcohol free environment for all junior and high school students in or around St. Tammany Parish.
Pillars of Pride
Activities and Socials
The Troupe believes that it is important to provide fun, drug-free activities for our members and we host recreational activities monthly. These events include, but are not limited to: holiday parties, lock-ins, and field days.
Community Service
We assist at community events such as Three Rivers Art Festival, Ultimate Tailgate Party, and PA Days at various junior high schools and volunteer with organizations such as Adopt-A-Family during the holiday season.
Community Outreach
We do whatever we can to get our name and our message out into the community, whether that's by making youtube videos, going to conferences, or putting flyers around town.
Performance
Each year, PRIDE Troupe performs multiple times. These performances are held at community events, junior high schools, and conferences.
Education
We believe that it is important for members to be educated about the new trends in drug use, how
to help a friend who might be experimenting with drugs, and the harmful effects of various kinds
of drugs. We also focus on teaching leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. This is
the purpose of our meetings; the PRIDE Troupe leadership team plans and performs fun yet informative meetings twice a month for
members to attend.
