PA Camp

Who we are

Positive Attitude and Positive Action camps are youth run leadership camps designed to teach junior high and high school students leadership and communication skills with the hopes that they can return to their schools and communities and implement programs that have a positive impact on their lives and the lives of the community at large.

PA camp started in 1983 by a Slidell High School guidance counselor who saw a need to train youth in how to be peer leaders. What started with a group of parents around a kitchen table has created over 35 years of youth leadership development in our community.

What we do at PA Camp

  • Campers are separated into small groups led by highly trained high school facilitators called Interns

  • Interns then instruct the campers to participate in many challenging and thought provoking activities. Covering topics such as leadership, drugs and alcohol, stress, peer pressure and much more

  • An average of 2 workshops per day - presented by inspiring St. Tammany Parish locals

  • Previous workshop presenters: John Arsenaux (Families Helping Families), Ashlee Stokes (Community Leader), Joey Roberts (Exec. Director of YMCA), and many more

  • Camp wide activities (dances, comedy night, water sports, etc.)

  • And much more!

Serving all Junior High and High Schools in St. Tammany Parish and the State of Louisiana for over 35 years.
